Our first story back was the story of the Blessing Cake. A little boy delivers gifts to his neighbors and when he returns it's time for his family tradition of enjoying a blessing cake and tea. Each person has a stone in their cake with a word on it, the word tells each person a little something about the year ahead. We had our own tea and cakes at table time.
